Spelling Bee
South Columbus Elementary held it annual Spelling Bee on Wednesday, January 21, 2009. Our winner this year is Myiah Hill, and Malik Harris is our runner-up. They will go to the district Spelling Bee to represent our school. We would like to congratulate all of our participants on a job well done. We would also like to thank our judges. They were Dr. Warner Britton, inclusion teacher at South Columbus, Ms. Cynthia Mann, Cornerstone Literacy Fellow with Muscogee County School District, and Mrs. Amanda Chapman, Columbus Bank and Trust. We would also like to give a big thanks to our emcee, Ms. Dee Armstrong.
